FAQs – Licensing and registration
How do I login for the first time?
If you have an existing Online Services account, logging into ESVConnect for the first time will be a step-through process from Online Services after ESVConnect has gone live.
If you don’t have an existing Online Services account, logging into ESVConnect for the first time is also a straight forward account set up process. Read the full login process here.
Will ESVConnect operate on my phone or tablet?
ESVConnect for electrical worker licensing and REC registration is built for use on laptops or desktop computers. There are various documents and forms to complete and submit in the licensing and renewal processes; these are best done on a larger format screen/device.
What is the eligibility checker?
In ESVConnect, we have introduced an eligibility checker for all new licence applications. It allows applicants to determine for themselves their suitability and eligibility for a specific electrical worker licence type.
In order to verify your eligibility for a licence type you will be asked to submit copies of various documents throughout the process.
As you progress through the questionnaire more questions appear based on the answers provided. The steps are clear and there is help text to assist you through the process.
How do I apply for an electrical worker licence or registration?
As described above, new applicants will need to determine their suitability for an electrical licence or registration using the eligibility checker and lodge an application for that licence type by following the step-by-step process in ESVConnect.
On the ESVConnect homepage, click on ‘My applications’ in the left hand menu to commence and manage applications for electrical worker licences, registration of electrical contractors and registration of cathodic protection systems.
Your current licences and registrations can be viewed and accessed on the home page, under ‘My Licences’ and ‘My Registrations’, respectively.
